Welcome to our school

St Mary Magdalene is a small school in the heart of Peckham. We are a Church school with a strong set of core Christian values (trust, honesty, love, peace, uniqueness, forgiveness, wonder, thankfulness, compassion and hope) which run like a golden thread, through everything we do. We believe that every child is made in the image of God and we seek to develop each individual to Be the Best They Can BE.

As a Church of England School, we support children to grow in the Christian faith. While being firmly committed to this, we encourage an understanding of and a respect for other faiths. We serve our community and welcome applications from children of Christian faith, other faith or no faith.

We provide a wide range of opportunities for children to develop as confident, successful learners with high aspirations who are able to make positive contributions to their community and beyond.

We pride ourselves on incredible pastoral care. Whatever your child’s needs, I can assure you that your child will be well looked after by our dedicated and committed staff. We take pride in our relationships with parents, the mutual respect our children show each other and the care that we offer. We make time to get to know children and their families.
